5 Minute Setup Guide

Install and activate the Bento WordPress plugin

Download the latest Bento wordpress plugin zip.

Navigate to `Settings > Bento` in your WordPress admin

Enter your Bento API credentials

Generate your Bento API Keys if you have not from your teams screen. Fill in the following keys:

  • Site Key
  • Publishable Key
  • Secret Key

Enable 'Send transactional emails through Bento' checkbox

Save your Settings

Configure your From Email address
Once you save the settings the plugin will display a list of your configured authors in the from drop down.

Click 'Send Test Email' to verify your setup
The test email will be sent to the email address of the wordpress admin. We suggest doing this to ensure all settings are correct and you are happy with the selected author.

Configuration Options

Required Settings

  • Site Key: Your Bento site identifier
  • Publishable Key: Your Bento public API key

What Gets Sent Through Bento?

When enabled, the plugin will route all WordPress transactional emails through Bento, including:

What Does NOT get Sent Through Bento?

  • Emails with attachments
