Understanding Flows and Their Usage

Flows are a powerful tool for automating your customer interactions. Want to save time and provide a seamless experience for your visitors?

Flows are your answer.

What are Flows?

Flows are Bento's powerful automation tool. They allow you to create a series of actions triggered by specific events. Imagine sending personalized emails, updating visitor data, or triggering webhooks—all on autopilot. Flows serve as your automation canvas, providing a centralized platform to assemble and manage all your automations in one place.

Flow Sessions

Ever wonder how your visitors are interacting with your Flows? Flow sessions are your window into their journey. A Flow session is a real-time record of a visitor's progress through a Flow. You can view these sessions in the visitor's profile, allowing you to track the effectiveness of your Flows and make adjustments as needed.

Starting a Flow

Ready to put your Flows into action? Once you've created a Flow, you can trigger it by sending events to Bento. If an event matches a trigger, it will create a session for that visitor. A session cannot begin without an origin event, making Flows safe and reliable. They only start when a specific condition or event is met.

Stopping a Flow

Need to stop a Flow? Navigate to any profile and click on the Flows tab. You'll see a list of all the Flows that the visitor is currently participating in. Click on the Flow you want to stop and then click the "Stop Flow" button.

But don't worry—the sessions will resume when you turn the Flow back on. This feature is handy if you want to make changes to a Flow without affecting your visitors.

Wrapping Up

Flows are your secret weapon for automating customer interactions and providing a personalized experience. By leveraging Flow sessions and the ability to start and stop Flows, you can create powerful automations that save time and drive results. So what are you waiting for?
